Majan today: a plot by plot community between Al Barari and the theme parks
Majan was launched in November 2006 by Mizin, the community arm of Tatweer within Dubai Holding, as a freehold master plan inside Dubailand. Like Liwan, its sister Mizin community, it was divided into plots sold to private developers, so there is no single look. The earliest landmarks are the tall towers on the Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed Road frontage, such as Al Rabia Tower, completed in 2014, while Sherena Residence followed in 2017.
The last few years have brought a building boom. Aras Residence opened in 2022, The Haven by Meraki was handed over in August 2025, and boutique schemes such as Deansgate by ADE and Amethyst by Siroya have joined them. Binghatti is now building three large towers in the south of the community, with more than 4,500 homes between them, and Samana, Vincitore and Rabdan projects are adding more. Majan is still taking shape, which is part of its appeal for buyers who like to get in early.

Points to consider before buying in Majan
- •Thousands of off plan units are due for handover in 2027, so landlords should expect a wider choice of rentals for tenants when they complete.

- •Construction will continue on several plots for some time, so check what is planned next to any building you like.
- •Larger three and four bedroom units are limited, so the area suits singles, couples and small families best.
