8 Boulevard Walk was one of the first residential towers Emaar delivered in Downtown Dubai. Work started in 2005 and the building was completed in 2008, when the district around the Burj Khalifa was taking shape. RMJM Dubai was the architectural consultant.
The tower rises 36 storeys above a five storey podium that holds shops at street level, a swimming pool, a children's pool and a gym. Two basement levels provide residents' parking, and apartments have video intercoms linked to building security.
Homes are compact to mid sized: studios and one and two bedroom apartments of roughly 465 to 1,408 sq ft. Large balconies are a feature of the building, and units on the right side and higher floors look across the Boulevard to the Burj Khalifa, which keeps the tower popular with both owner occupiers and tenants.
