About Al Mahra

Emaar released Al Mahra in 2005 as one of the more upscale enclaves of the original Arabian Ranches, and the last homes were finished in 2007. The neighbourhood lies at the centre of the community, with the fairways of the Arabian Ranches Golf Club along one edge and Aseel, La Avenida and Terra Nova as its closest neighbours.

What sets Al Mahra apart is its look. Where most Ranches clusters use Spanish or Santa Fe styling, these villas draw on classic Arabic design: carved mashrabiya panels, rounded domes, ornate arches and bright open interiors. Many plots back onto greenery or the golf course, which gives the street scene a calm, private feel.

The homes are large. Listings in the neighbourhood are almost all five and six bedroom villas, with occasional bigger layouts, so Al Mahra appeals mainly to larger families who want golf course views, a short drive to Jumeirah English Speaking School and the clinic, and a character home rather than a standard design.
