About Madinat Jumeirah Living

Madinat Jumeirah Living was the first freehold residential development in Umm Suqeim. Dubai Holding planned it as a walkable district of about 54 buildings across roughly 3.85 million sq ft, designed by DSA Architects International to match the wind towers, textured walls and pergolas of the neighbouring Madinat Jumeirah resort. Later clusters such as Asayel, Jadeel and Elara appear as separate places on this map.

Lamtara was the first phase: construction began in December 2018 and the buildings were completed in March 2021. Rahaal followed, with work starting in February 2019 and completion in December 2022. Both are gated clusters on the western edge of the community close to Jumeirah Street, which puts the Burj Al Arab, Wild Wadi and Souk Madinat Jumeirah within a few hundred metres.

Apartments range from one to four bedrooms, and one bedroom homes make up the largest share of both sales and leases in Dubai Land Department records. The setting is unusual for Dubai: low rise blocks, landscaped wadis and pedestrian paths instead of towers, with the public beaches of Umm Suqeim a short walk or cycle away. That combination keeps demand steady from families and professionals who want a beach side address with a village feel.
