About Golden Mile
IFA Hotels & Resorts and Nakheel began building Golden Mile in May 2006 and completed it in August 2009. The complex runs along the western side of the trunk as ten linked residential buildings, Golden Mile 1 to 10, forming a continuous residential front beside Al Ittihad Park. Beneath it sits the Golden Mile Galleria, with about 70 shops, cafes, restaurants and a supermarket.
The buildings are designed in an oriental style, with light coloured facades, arched windows, carved balconies and mezzanines. Townhouses sit at ground level, and duplex penthouses with terraces crown the top floors. Residents share swimming pools, a gym, a spa and jacuzzi, barbecue areas and children's play areas, and about 1,600 underground parking spaces keep the streets calm.
Golden Mile suits families and professionals who want space, daily convenience and a strong community feel. Al Ittihad Park, with its jogging and cycling tracks, and the Palm Monorail are about two minutes away, Palm West Beach about four, and Dubai Internet City Metro about five to eight minutes by car. Nearby dog parks also make it popular with pet owners.
